Coney Is....what?

On Friday I was soooo looking forward to the weekend and it did not disappoint. Friday night we headed up to NJ with KBfixit and wife about 10 minutes behind us. Saturday morning we all headed out to Yankee Stadium to catch the first game of a double header. It was a great game and best of all they won!

After the game, we headed out to Coney Island. We were all in the mood for a Nathan's hot dog and we wanted to soak in some of the vibe that is Coney Island before they tore it down. It seemed like it took forever to get there and then once we did, it was as if the entire state of NY was there. We searched around for a parking spot for over 30 minutes and came up unsuccessful. The girls finally convinced the guys that it was just not meant to be. However, all was not lost. We all had a good laugh while people watching. There are definitely some interesting characters there!

So, instead of Coney Island hot dogs we headed over to Brooklyn for some good old pizza. And it was perfect.

We definitely spent a lot of time in the car on Saturday but it was all worth it. We had some great laughs with friends and it was hands down a memorable weekend!
