Vegas!

So, we got back from our fantastic trip to Vegas late Tuesday night but it's taken me forever to get back to a normal routine. In fact, the only reason I have time to post this is because I'm home sick today. I blame someone on our flight over to Vegas for this miserable cold I have now but whatever, it's forcing me to rest which is what I need to do. Anyway, onto some pictures!

This was the best part of our room. The jet tub and the view. 21st floor overlooking Red Rock Canyon.

Inside the Luxor. Quite an amazing site. They don't have elevators, they have inclinators (they move at an angle) because the place is in the shape of a pyramid. So even if you aren't drunk you felt that you were everytime you stepped into one of those things!

On the strip outside of Paris.

The Bellagio fountains from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Absolutely incredible.

David and I in front of one of the statues at the Luxor.

Had to get this shot of the beam of light. Apparently, it's so bright that if you were 10 miles into space you could read a newspaper by the light it gives off.

David and I in Red Rock Canyon.

There was so much beauty to photograph in Red Rock Canyon.

This photo is much less impressive without David standing there. You just don't get the feel for how huge those boulders are unless you have a little perspective.

Again, perspective. I look so tiny, I love this photo :)

Hoover Dam. I was expecting it to be bigger.

I was thrilled to finally get back on a horse again. It was totally worth it. I even had the pleasure of riding the owners horse.

From atop my horse, before the trail ride began.

Our guide was very enthusiastic. He didn't stop talking. I even learned about his crazy second ex-wife who poured gasoline on his stuff and torched it!

The strip from high atop the Eiffel Tower.

And of course we couldn't leave without getting this shot!

Halloween

125 pieces of candy were bought and surprisingly we only have a handful left. I'll probably eat them all this weekend but at least it's not a huge amount!

We had a really great time with our neighbors and friends last night (even if I was up until 4am trying to get my body temperature above 95.9, but that's a whole other story!)

Just a few photos from the festivities:

Dylan...er, Tigger having some fun with a glow stick and some new friends.

Our adorable neighbor in her candycorn costume.

I got smart this year and made a sign so that people knew where we were and more importantly where the candy was, instead of having to climb up all those steps for nothing!

The one bad thing about the sign...having to climb under it to replenish our beer!
